Bronny James impersonates father LeBron with huge chasedown block in USC debut

Published on

Bronny James inherited the chasedown block genes.

After suffering a major health scare before the regular season, USC G Bronny James has finally made his debut for the Trojans, and it has come with some fireworks. James has played limited minutes, but has an assist, a rebound and a chasedown block that looks really, REALLY similar.

I mean, it looks SO similar:

There’s just something in the James’ DNA that makes them the greatest chasedown artists in whatever league they’re playing in. Even as Bronny is running back on defense, he knows he’s about to go up and try to block this. It’s amazing timing and athleticism for James, who didn’t inherit the size of his father, Space Jam 2 and Trainwreck star LeBron James. At 6’3, this is an awesome defensive play, and one that’ll keep James in the rotation for a long time.

The announcer missed a perfect time to do the “BLOCKED BY JAMES” that has become synonymous with LeBron James, though. We’ll work on that for later games.
