Ferrari sends Carlos Sainz Jr. off in style, as he takes to the track with his dad

Carlos Sainz Jr.’s run at Ferrari has come to a close.

With the news ahead of the 2024 Formula 1 season that Lewis Hamilton would be joining the team for 2025, Sainz’s tenure with the Scuderia was entering its final season. Sainz not only secured a full-time seat for 2025 and beyond with Williams, but he also delivered the best statistical performance of his F1 career, finishing fifth in the F1 Drivers’ Championship with 290 points (a career-high number) and winning five races, also a career-best.

That helped Ferrari finish second in the Constructors’ Championship, just 14 points behind McLaren.

Still, his time at Ferrari has come to a close. But not before the team gave him an incredible sendoff: A day on track with his father, rally car driver Carlos Sainz Sr. Both drivers took to the team’s testing track in Fiorano in the F1-75, the team’s challenger for the 2022 F1 season:

The younger Sainz also shared this video on social media, highlighting just how “stressed” he was seeing his dad in the F1-75:

An absolutely perfect way to pull the curtain down on his time with the team.
