College Football Playoff updated bracket after latest rankings, where Boise gets a bye

The Committee finally did right by the Group of Five.
Boise State has got a first round bye.
In the latest iteration of the College Football Playoff rankings, the Broncos are one of the highest ranked conference champions by virtue of being projected to win the Mountain West, and would be ranked higher than the Big 12 or AAC champion at that point. With the Broncos all but locking up a spot in the MWC title game against either Colorado State or UNLV, Boise is smooth sailing towards the playoff.
Elsewhere, the Big 12 needs help. With BYU dropping a game to Kansas, there’s a chance the conference champion doesn’t get a first round bye and has to go on the road against one of the big teams who didn’t get a bye.
With that being said, here is the College Football Playoff top 25.
First Round Bye: No. 1 Oregon, No. 2 Texas, No. 3 Miami, No. 4 Boise State
First Round Matchups:
No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes vs. No. 12 BYU Cougars No. 6 Penn State Nittany Lions vs. No. 11 Georgia Bulldogs No. 7 Indiana Hoosiers vs. No. 10 Ole Miss No. 8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. No. 9 Alabama Crimson Tide
