Derrick Henry’s stiff-arm put Cowboys into the dirt

Derrick Henry ran all over the Cowboys on Sunday.

The Dallas Cowboys’ run defense has been a disaster to start the season, and it had Baltimore Ravens star Derrick Henry licking his chops heading into a Week 3 matchup. Henry is perhaps the best power back of his generation, and his move to the Ravens over the offseason was a beautiful marriage for the player and team. After two decent performances in his first two weeks with the Ravens, Henry was finally ready for his breakout game.

Henry already had a touchdown on the afternoon when the Ravens lined up for a 3rd-and-1 in the third quarter. That’s when Henry busted free for a 29-yard gain that included a vintage stiff arm right to the head of a Cowboys defense. A few plays later, Henry got into the end zone for a second time to open up a big Ravens’ lead.

As a wise man once said, don’t stand on the tracks when the train’s coming through. Watch Henry’s stiff arm here:

Henry won the Heisman back in his college days at Alabama, and he hit the Heisman pose on a Dallas defender to extend a big run. That’s old school football, and it’s beautiful.

The Ravens beat the Cowboys 28-25. Henry ended the game with 25 carries for 151 yards and two touchdowns.

It’s always fun to see a team run the damn ball.
