After Lando Norris won in Miami, McLaren CEO Zak Brown got some new ink
When Daniel Ricciardo won the 2021 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, McLaren CEO Zak Brown commemorated the victory with a tattoo of the legendary circuit, prodded on by the Australian driver. That moment made for incredible television on the Netflix docuseries “Drive to Survive,” and led to constant questions to Brown about whether he would mark McLaren’s next victory with another tattoo.
We now have our answer.
McLaren posted footage on Friday of Brown again getting some ink, this time an outline of the circuit around Hard Rock Stadium to mark Lando Norris’ maiden victory at the Miami Grand Prix back in May:
At one point, Norris even took a turn with the tattoo gun, or at least the driver tried to:
Ahead of the process, Brown quipped that he was more nervous for this tattoo than his first one, the outline of the track in Monza, because the McLaren boss “knows how much it hurt” the last time.
Brown and Norris then posed with the finished product, an outline of the circuit in Miami on Brown’s right shoulder:
The McLaren boss might want to limit these tattoos to his driver’s first wins with the team. After all, given McLaren’s pace at the moment, more wins certainly seem possible for the team in the coming weeks and months.
