If the Chiefs struggle, blame College Football 25.
Patrick Mahomes has had a tradition every training camp since entering the league, but that ends now. The Chiefs QB has broken down for the first time and is bringing his own TV to training camp so he can play College Football 25.
The allure proved to be too much for the All-Pro quarterback, who told media waiting for his arrival that he had to give in.
“I haven’t brought a TV ever before, but NCAA (College Football 25) came out, and I’m going to have to turn it on,” he laughed. “I brought a TV for NCAA and the Olympics, so that’s my first year of doing that.”
The man has good taste, what can we say? College Football 25 is SPECTACULAR (look for our review soon), and it’s not like he needs to spend every night studying the playbook at this point in his career. If anyone has earned the benefit of the doubt to have a little down time it’s Patrick Mahomes.
To make the experience even better: Texas Tech is actually pretty dang good in the game. They’re rated 85 overall, with an 83 offense and 80 defense. Far from a world-beating team, but definitely enough to work with in dynasty mode. Just so long as you don’t run into FCS Midwest.
