Miami WR Tyreek Hill scores and celebrates by putting himself in handcuffs

Tyreek Hill’s Sunday began with him face down, being handcuffed by Miami-Dade police following a traffic stop before kickoff.

Mere hours later Hill was in the end zone after hauling in an 80-yard touchdown from Tua Tagovailoa, and the speedy Miami Dolphins receiver paid a bit of a tribute to the incident, putting his hands behind his back as if he was being handcuffed again.

In the buildup to Miami’s season-opening game at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars, videos emerged of Hill being detained by police following a traffic stop:

(Note: Hill was not arrested, he was detained and then released following the stop. Miami-Dade officials released a statement following the incident indicating that an “immediate review” of the stop would be conducted).

Late in the third quarter of Miami’s game against Jacksonville, with the Dolphins trailing 17-7 Tagovailoa dropped into the pocket before connecting with Hill on a deep crossing route, who finished off the play for an explosive touchdown. As you can see at the end of the clip, the receiver then put his hands behind his back, mimicking the incident from earlier in the day:
