Week 12 PPR WR fantasy football rankings including injury news, sleepers, more
by
Which wide receivers will shine in Week 12 for your fantasy football teams? We’ll take a look at all of them in our PPR rankings.
Week 11 brought us a few huge wide receiver games once again, as Ja’Marr Chase found the end zone two more times and Amon Ra St. Brown put up his best game of the season in a total beat down of the Patriots. And let’s not forget Cooper Kupp, who also found his way into the end zone twice. Of course, their teammates, Tee Higgins, Jameson Williams, and Puka Nacua all had huge games as well. There were a lot of concentrated fantasy points in the passing games of the Lions, Bengals, and Rams to be sure. All six receivers finished in the Top 8 for Week 11!
The Browns passing game under Jameis Winston continues to thrive. Cedric Tillman didn’t put up the numbers we were hoping for, but the Browns still had three fantasy viable pass catchers put up good numbers with Jerry Jeudy catching six passes for 142 yards and a touchdown, Elijah Moore going 6 for 66 and a touchdown and David Njoku catching all nine of his targets for 88 yards. They get the Steelers this week, which will be tough, but Winston will likely help one or two of his receivers get over the hump again.
Week 12 wide receiver bye weeks
Drake London, Darnell Mooney, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Brian Thomas, Garrett Wilson, Davante Adams
Week 12 wide receiver injuries
Mike Evans, Buccaneers
Evans was seen practicing on Monday, per Jenna Laine. It sounds like he’s very much going to play this week against the Giants. Even if he’s eased back, he should still be a start this week in fantasy.
Keon Coleman, Bills
Coleman missed the matchup with the Chiefs due to his wrist injury, but will get the bye week to get healthy. Curtis Samuel had his best game of the season with Coleman out last week, but would be demoted again if Coleman can go.
Darnell Mooney, Falcons
Mooney suffered a hamstring injury against the Broncos in Week 11. It doesn’t sound like a significant injury, per Jeremy Fowler. But, hamstring injuries are always something to keep a close eye on, but with a bye week, he should have a shot to play in Week 13.
Gabe Davis, Jaguars
Davis is out for the season due to a meniscus injury. He did very little for the jaguars after signing a nice free agent contract. This result was not hard to foresee. Brian Thomas remains the only fantasy viable wide receiver and he could really use Trevor Lawrence getting healthy over this week’s bye.
Week 12 wide receiver sleepers
Calvin Ridley, Titans at Texans
Ridley may not be as efficient as we’d like, but he’s getting plenty of work and mostly turning that work into positive fantasy points. Over his last four games he’s averaging 89.5 yards on six receptions and has scored twice. This week he takes on a Texans team that ranks fifth-worst in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers.
Josh Downs, Colts vs. Lions
The Colts are huge underdogs against the Lions and for good reason, but that doesn’t mean that Anthony Richardson can’t complete some passes against them. On the season, the Colts have allowed a league high 157 receptions to wide receivers and they have played one fewer game than the majority of the teams. The Lions get leads and then allow receivers to catch the ball underneath. Makes sense, but in PPR, that can be useful. And we know Downs has become the Colts No. 1 receiver. He’s finished in the Top 32 receivers in 7-of-9 games this season and should continue to be a high upside play each week.
